Schools in Semey are working on the Serving Society project

Today several institutions of secondary education in the city of Semey and AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” are working on a common project “Serving the Society”. This became known at the conference of teachers of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey, which was held on the ZOOM platform. In general, the main goal of this conference is to continue to provide methodological support to the city’s schools in the future. The next conference was attended by heads and mentors of educational work, class teachers of 11 pivotal schools.
– “Serving the Society” is a project that has borne fruit in the intellectual schools. Within the framework of this project, a great deal of work was carried out on the comprehensive education of students. The implementation of this project in secondary education institutions was one of our main goals. In this direction, since January of only one transitional year, a special program has been developed and a 3-month course has been organized for our colleagues from the city’s schools. The course consisted of 50 theoretical and 50 practical hours, – said Larisa Abylkassymova, deputy director for educational work of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey.
The three-month course was guided by two directions. In the first of them, in the theoretical material, tools for the implementation of social projects, project planning, methodological
support, various methods of leadership development were presented, later practical work was obtained from the requests of participants in seminars on project dissemination. As a result, information about the volunteer movement, the volunteer club helped not only the student’s personal development, but also the ability to work in a team, improve leadership qualities.
– Taking part in theoretical, practical hours on the course, we worked on the implementation of a new project in our school. The work has not gone anywhere. As a result, the project is successfully completing work on the education of students and their personal development. Therefore, we will continue to continue this project in our school, – says Karlygash Zamanbekovna, head of the educational work of the director of school No. 3 in the city.
During today’s conference, teachers from other schools participating in it, in addition to what they study and implement in the courses, shared their impressions of the benefits of the project. And the jury, made up of teachers of the Intellectual School, based on special assessment criteria, allocated worthy places to the participants. The Grand Prix was won by secondary school № 31, 1st place – secondary school № 16 named after Tuleubai Amanov, 2nd place – secondary school № 3 and secondary school № 39 named after Alikhan Bokeikhan, ІІІ place-gymnasium number 6, “school number 19, Zharkyn secondary school. In addition, each participant was awarded a certificate confirming the completion of the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools course “Serving the Society”.
