Indian Culture Days

Situated in the continent of Asia, India is one of the oldest civilizations known to man. Diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and India, which attracts the attention of the world community with its culture, have been established in 1992. Nowadays, two countries have good relations not only in trade and economics, but also in science, technology, culture, art, education, information and sports.
Today India is paying special attention to the quality of education of the younger generation. As a result, government has opened JBCN School of international baccalaureate in many cities and trains highly qualified students. These schools provide its students with popular programs like “IB”, “A-LEVEL”, and «IGCSE”.
Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey has collaborated with the school staff in September this year. So far, two school teams have been trained by Skype, and teachers gave online lessons by Skype.
Now, schools are moving to a new stage in order to improve collaboration. As the brightest manifestation of this, from 4 to 8 December in our school were held Days of Indian Culture. The goal is to develop intercultural relations, to allow students to get more information about India.
Within the framework of the Days of Indian Culture held at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey, our students tried to convey the idea of India through art. Pupils organized exhibition in the corridors of our school, presented paintings to our peers and teachers and classmates. Turar Kametay is a student of 9A grade; he is very interested in the culture of South Asian countries. Turar is an amateur young artist, for the exhibition, he painted one of the famous tourist destination of India- Taj-Mahal.
-I want to say that Taj-Mahal is a special and sacral place. Lists of recommended travel destinations often feature the Taj Mahal, which also appears in several listings of seven wonders of the modern world, including the recently announced New Seven Wonders of the World, a recent poll with 100 million votes. Generally, there are many attractive places in India. Thanks to the event at our school, we were once again approaching the Indian culture, “said Mukhamedali Mukatai.” I have made a painting for the exhibition. Elephant is one of the saints for the Indians. Through my painting, I invite humankind to protect them from the wealth of the surrounding wildlife, “says 8” M “grade student.
The school administration intends to continue to work closely with its Indian counterparts and to work together to extend the horizons of the students from both countries. In this context, it is planned that next year JBCN School of international baccalaureate will hold Days of Kazakhstan Culture.
