Special thanks to veterans

Congratulations to veterans on the eve of the Great Victory on May 9 has become a good tradition at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey. This year, our students, together with the teacher of primary military training, reserve major Kuanysh Mukhamadiev, the teacher-organizer-curator Gulderaim Sagyndykқkyzy, visited the heroes at home.

The first of them is Abdygali Kaimoldin. In the first year of the war, he was drafted into the army and, in addition to fierce battles near Stalingrad, fought against the enemy on 5 fronts. I met the victory in the city of Koenigsberg. An elderly retired colonel spent 35 years in the Armed Forces after the war. Today he is a respected elder of a large shanyrak, which has deep roots.

– I think we can not exactly understand the feelings of veterans, which we learn about through books and films about the Great Patriotic War. It is through such meetings that we can hear the memories of eyewitnesses of the war and learn that victory did not come so easily. We are forever indebted to this feat of the older generation, – says 11th grade student Adlen Rollanuly.

On the same day, our students also visited a veteran, a soldier of the 3rd Belorussian Front, Nikolai Butko, who was drafted into the army at the age of 17. After the war, returning to his homeland in 1948, he worked for the good of the country.

During the congratulatory trip, our students heard the memories of the fighters of the Great Patriotic War, received good parting words and baht.
