Learning to cook…

The second day of the summer school was called “Ratatouille”

The first two lessons were held by chosen directions: the Olympic school for subjects, the research school for current projects, the course “solving inventive problems”, “the Solar system in Semey”, ” Country studies (English Speaking countries)”, “IELTS” club and “School of Leadership”.

During the counselor hour, students shared their cooking skills. Students with interest answered the questions that were asked in the topic quiz. They presented their recipes and talked about how to prepare a particular dish. Students evaluate each other according to criteria prepared by the creative team.

  • Design: aesthetics, artistic taste, creativity (2 points);
  • Presentation of the dish: well and appetizing presented the dish (2 points);
  • Difficulty level of the dish: cooking time, number of ingredients (2 points).

At the same time, the children shared their impressions that they prepared food for the whole family. During the feedback, they were impressed and emotions were running high.  At the end of classes, we received tasks for the next day.
