Semey students became the winners of the Republican Scientific Projects Contest

The Republican Scientific and Practical Center “Daryn” of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan annually holds a Republican Scientific Projects Contest in general subjects. This year the Competition was held from February 11 to 14 at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty.

Now Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey is congratulating the winners! The school students became the winners of the Republican Scientific Projects Contest. The 12th grade student Seitkaliyev Ulan won the 1st place (gold medal) with a scientific project on the study of the laws of natural and virtual central forces through computer and physical models, supervisors: Physics teachers – Zhumabekov A.S., Akhatayeva Zh.O.

According to the results of the competition, the 11th grade students: Kadesov Bek and Rymkan Alisher were awarded the 2nd place (silver medal) with a scientific project on the study of the structure of gold nanoparticles for the use in oncotherapy, supervisor: Physics teacher Zhumabekov A.S. It should be noted that recently the authors and supervisor of the project received a certificate for the author’s work and photographs dedicated to the study of the structure of gold nanoparticles for the use in oncotherapy. It is also worth noting that all the participants did a tremendous work and had been preparing throughout the whole academic year.

The Republican Scientific Projects Contest is a competition of schoolchildren’s scientific research on the topic “The models of the economic, social and cultural development of the republic in light of the Kazakhstan-2050 strategy.” The competition is held in four areas: “Scientific and technological progress as a key link in economic growth”, “Mathematical modeling of economic and social processes”, “Healthy natural environment – the basis for the implementation of the Kazakhstan-2050 strategy, and “Historical monuments of Kazakhstan and promising tourist routes”.

At the first (school) stage of the Competition 21,604 students took part. At the second (regional) stage, 7332 students took part. At the third (oblast) stage – 3381 students. 584 research projects authored by 737 young researchers were submitted at the final stage of the Competition.
