The first day of our trip was very exciting. We learned a lot about Aktobe, visited sightseeings of the city and got acquainted with the students of NIS of Taldykorgan. Although earlier, we had joint activites with a local psychologist, exactly the first day of the program helped us to strengthen our friendly relations.
The day started with the official opening of the program, during which NIS Aktobe students performed their songs and dances on the scene. It became clear from this short event that Aktobe residents greatly respect the history of their city, and especially the Heroes of the Soviet Union. Later, after having a meal, we visited the regional memorial museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union Alia Moldagulova, and learned that the 18-year-old Kazakh girl killed 78 Nazis, this way showing her unrestrained courage. In our opinion, she is a symbol of а true love for the homeland.
Besides that, we visited a special alley, intended for the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. Having participated in the activity organized by the teachers here, we learned about the local participants of the war in detail. Also, we visited new buildings of the city, such as the Academy of Art, Ice Palace and Big Tennis center. All of the above objects contribute to the creative and spiritual development of local children and adolescents. Previously, we have not seen such large-scale sport complexes and noticed that the local government pays great attention to cultural heritage, as well as to the health of the residents.
Summing up, Aktobe city greatly respects its War Heroes and is interested in the spiritual and cultural development of citizens. City government invests in the improvement of people’s well-being.
