On November 16, on the eve of the International Day of Premature Babies, will be working on the project “Serving Society” for the implementation of the social project “28 Loops” teachers of the Additional Department of Education Gulmira Amirbekovna, Kalamkas Amangazinovna, curator Aizhan Ablaskarovna and a student of the 9th grade Nurgazina Aya visited the Regional Perinatal Center of the region of Abai in order to transfer knitted kits for newborn premature babies. In total, 24 sets and 4 blankets were handed over, made by the hands of students, parents, teachers, school staff and the dormitory of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Semey.
The purpose of the social project is to create knitted clothes for warming children with an extremely low weight of 500 g. to maintain warmth, reflex massage and stimulate motor activity. The friction of wool fibers on the baby’s leg is a natural massage of the reflex zones of the feet, which has not only a warming, but also a toning and restorative effect. In this state, the baby is not in oblivion, when he can go into a deep sleep and forget to take a breath.
Our school has been cooperating with “The 28 Loops” club for 4 years, many kind “fairies” have responded as volunteers, who knit special products for small ankles, thereby helping their parents.
The staff of the perinatal center was very pleased with our visit. Having learned that a lot of kids need knitted clothes, we were convinced that the club needs sponsors and volunteers. That is why we believe that it is necessary to spread the problem of the birth of premature babies, since every year in Kazakhstan, out of 450 thousand children, 12% are born prematurely, whose weight sometimes does not exceed 700 grams.
We hope that in the future our project will develop further, and the number of citizens who are not indifferent to this problem will increase.
