At the beginning of the school year, a competition was launched at “Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey”. Since the start, the “World of Dance” competition has been distinguished by a large number of participants. The competition of talents, organized among 7-11grade students, was attended by about 50 applicants from fifteen groups.
– In the history of the school such a large-scale project is being held for the second time. The idea of holding such a competition this year was proposed by 11th grade student, Yerkebulan Imanbayev. And my colleague Irina Raifovna and I supported his idea and gave him direction regarding the organization of the competition. We have a lot of positive students who are fond of dancing. At all three stages, they made a real show during their performance,” says the choreographer of our school, Zhanar Tokenova.
If, for the first time in 2011, there were special requirements for “Dance Live” project organized under the guidance of school choreographers, then this time, the contestants were given freedom. Therefore, the modern dances, which are widely popular among young people, were staged.
– Nowadays there are many types of dancing. For example, modern dance is divided into such areas as hip-hop, freestyle, keypop, modern, vogue. The modern generation especially likes these innovations. Taking this into account, as we noticed that the project is in a great demand, we decided to organize such a competition. It should be noted that each dance presented at the competition was developed by the participants themselves. Only 70% of participants rarely attended various dance circles. And the rest, in general, came to the stage for the first time, thanks to their interest,” says the choreographer Irina Baimuratova.
Seven groups reached the final, trying to demonstrate their talent at a crucial moment. In addition to their classmates, parents also came to support the children. It was not easy to choose the best among overwhelming dance lovers. Even if so, are there any barriers for the best? By decision of the jury, the main prize was awarded to “Redamancy” group. A 10th grade student Ainur Abibekova won the 1st place, Amina Berekenova, an 8th grade student, was awarded the 2nd place, and “Mix Dance” – 7th grade team took the 3rd place. The winners received diplomas and a special cup. At the same time, the organizers handed certificates to all project participants. It was decided to continue organizing this competition in the next academic year.
