A forum of graduates “SAMGAU” was held

Alumni forum “SAMGAU” was organized at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey. The forum “EdGiving Alumni NIS: returning to school to transfer knowledge and experience to students” brought together our students who graduated from our school in different years. In addition to graduates, students and teachers took part in the forum.

– The Forum is initiated by the Alumni NIS Association and the Foundation for the Development of Intellectual Schools. For a student who is just choosing a profession with which he will connect his future, such a meeting brings a lot of benefits. During the event, our graduates answered the most basic questions, starting with what documents are needed for admission to universities. In addition, we are talking about what professions are in demand in modern society. The forum is attended by graduates of domestic universities, as well as those studying at prestigious foreign universities and those who have already started their careers, – said Madi Izmailov, career guidance consultant for our school.


The forum is divided into several sections in the following areas: chemistry, biology, medicine, engineering, physics, IT, space, architecture, Kazakhstan Maritime Academy, business, economics, management marketing, geology, oil and gas industry, geography, ecology. Graduates of Nazarbayev University, KBTU, Semey Medical University, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, University of Zurich in Switzerland shared their advice.


One of the first graduates of our school is Narsha Ashimova. A graduate educated as an ophthalmic surgeon today runs the SEMEYOFTUM clinic in our city.

– The role of the school on the way to choosing your life profession was special. In addition, here we were taught certain skills, we received personal development, which helped me to adapt in my profession. During the forum, we shared our knowledge about what principles should be taken into account when choosing a profession, what should be paid attention to. We think that our experience will be useful for schoolchildren, – says Narsha Ashimova.


During the forum, school director Bagdan Kairzhanov expressed his pride in the graduates and noted that the doors of the school are always open for them. In the course of working in sections,
our graduates shared the information they had developed and answered a number of questions asked by schoolchildren.
