A student of the NIS in Semey became a prize-winner in an international competition

A 10th grade student of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey, Arystan Nurgaleev, took 2nd place in the 13th International Competition for Research Projects in Mathematics and Mechanics. O. Zholdasbekova.

150 students from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan took part in the traditional competition. 112 projects on various topics were presented. Under the guidance of the teachers of our school Kuralai Kalieva, Alua Suleimenova, scientific consultant Serik Anibaev, the project “Optimization of the process of making koumiss using a conoidal hole” was carried out.

– Arystan, together with a student of secondary school No. 3, Nuradil Tokenov, presented this project at the competition. The project considers the graph of the function corresponding to the shape of the hole and determines the dimensions of the new device. In addition, a mathematical description of the processes of cavitation and whipping in koumiss was considered, which made it possible to save time and increase work efficiency, – says Kuralai Akylberdinovna, one of the project leaders, a mathematics teacher
