Young chemist from NIS Semey won a prize in the Republican Olympiad

Shyngys Tokanov, a student of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey, became the winner of the V Republican Olympiad in Chemistry named after K. Satpayev. It should be noted that an educational Olympiad among ninth-graders was held in Karaganda, in which 73 participants from different regions of the country took part. At the end of the Olympics, Shyngys scored 101 points and took first place.

– Although the Olympics were held online, the control was strict. 60 questions were asked. It should be noted that one, two or even three answers could be given to each question. Therefore, the participant had to carefully study each question. Adhering to these principles, Shyngys was able to prove his knowledge, – says his scientific advisor, chemistry teacher Asylbek Orazbekov.

Shyngys became interested in chemistry from his early school years. Teachers continue to provide additional education and training to the student.
