Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey hosted the regional stage of network basketball games. The competition was attended by young men and women of Intellectual Schools in Semey, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Taldykorgan, Almaty and Shymkent. For 3 days, the spectacular sports were organized at a high level.
“Today’s sports day is an indicator of friendship and youth. Dear students, I wish you to make new friends during the competition. I wish everyone perseverance and success”, said school principal Bagdan Kaiyrzhanov at the opening ceremony of the sports day.
In accordance with the rules of the competition, each team played with each other in a circular stage, and earned the points.
“We approached the sports day very seriously. Our goal is to win. We thank the adminstration of AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” for organizing such games. I think this will help to strengthen the relationship between schools and communicate freely to our students. The regional stage in Semey was organized at a high level. The staff of the local school welcomed everyone and considered the situation of each team, for which we are grateful, personally”, said Nuraddin Gasanov, a physical education teacher of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Shymkent.
A closing ceremony was held at the end of the Olympiad, where the sports veterans and famous athletes of Semey were invited. According to the results of the competition, Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology in Shymkent took the first place among boys and girls, and Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Shymkent took the 2nd
place. The third place among boys was awarded to Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Almaty, and the same place took the girls’ team of Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Chemistry and Biology in Almaty. The winners were awarded with diplomas, medals and cups.
At the same time, the individual athletes were also awarded in various nominations.
As part of the games, a special trip was organized for guests, which allowed them to get acquainted with the history of the city and visit the sights of the city. As a result, our guests not only managed to take part in sports competition, but also became spiritually rich.
