TEACHER FROM NIS ASKHAT JUMABEKOV BECAME ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS IN THE WORLD

September 9, 2021 The Global Teacher Prize of the Varka Foundation at 7:00 am GMT announced the TOP-50 of the best teachers in the world! Among the finalists of the Global Prize is Askhat Sovetkhanovich Zhumabekov, a teacher from Kazakhstan who works as a physics teacher at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey. This is the first time for Kazakhstan! He is the only teacher who represents Kazakhstan in the international competition.


The best teachers shortlisted for the 2021 Global Teacher Prize were selected from over 8,000 nominations and applications from 121 countries. It is worth noting that the 32-year-old teacher has been moving towards this since 2018. Recall that he took 1st place in the competition “Best teacher of the year-2018” among 20 branches of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, then entered the republican stage and became the Owner of the title “Best Teacher” of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and in 2019 became a Nominee for the Global Peace Teacher Award.


“I started my participation in the Global Peace Teacher Prize back in the fall of 2020. I applied for participation back in April 2021. The competition consisted of several stages, thousands of applications from all over the world. Just imagine what a tremendous job the Prize Organizers have done. I was very happy when I received letters from the Prize Organizers! Askhat Zhumabekov – a graduate of the Bolashak program in 2016 (Finland), is the author of 3 books, 5 copyrights and more than 50 published scientific works and articles in journals with an impact factor, collections of materials, magazines, newspapers of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation, Finland , UK and Ukraine. Its students are prize-winners of republican and international high-level Olympiads “Tuymaada”, Zhautykov Olympiads, Daryn; International scientific competition “Young Scientist” in Daejeon, South Korea, Republican competition of scientific projects “Daryn” and others. Its graduates are GRANT holders in the USA, Nazarbayev University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, New York University in Abu Dhabi, Hungary, national and state universities of Kazakhstan and Russia.


The Global Teacher Prize was established to recognize one exceptional teacher who has made outstanding contributions to the profession and to highlight the important role that teachers play in society. The award reveals the stories of heroes who have changed the lives of young people.

The Global Teacher Prize is designed to highlight the importance of educators and show that teachers’ efforts deserve worldwide recognition. The award seeks to show the impact of the very best teachers, not only on their students, but also on the communities around them. The $ 1 million award is presented annually to an exceptional teacher who has made outstanding contributions to their profession.
