The students and teachers of “Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics” in Semey planted 300 seedlings of common pine in the school yard. The representatives of “Semey Ormany” natural reserve taught the technology of planting the seedlings, talked about what measures are being taken to preserve the relic ribbon forest.
“The idea of planting pines belongs to the NIS teachers voluntary club «NIS Teacher Volunteers». The club has just recently begun its work, but has already stepped outside the East Kazakhstan region and brought together 45 teachers of Intellectual schools from different regions of the republic: Aktobe, Almaty, Shymkent, Taraz, Petropavlovsk and Semey. The main goal of creating the club is to foster active citizenship of students through participation in voluntary activities”, said Zhazira Kurmanova, the Head of “NIS Teacher Volunteers”.
Director of the school Bagdan Kaiyrzhanov emphasized that the work will be continued in the future, since it is important not only to plant a tree, but most importantly, to grow it.
“All-Kazakhstan Forest Planting Day” has begun. We express our deep gratitude to the leadership of the Intellectual School, teachers and students who helped to conduct this action in Semey region at the highest level”, said Symbat Aglambekov, Deputy Director of Zhana-Semey branch of “Semey ormany”.
