Rustam returned from Russia with a prize.

The 53rd International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad for schoolchildren held on April in St. Petersburg, united about 150 young chemists from 30 countries of the world, including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Israel, Iraq, Iran, Syria, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Baltic States and China.
Our countrymen also took part in such a large-scale event. The honor of Kazakhstan was defended by 8 young chemists who more than once became the winners of the city and regional olympiads. One of those who showed excellent results in the Chemistry competition was a 12th grade student of the “Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey” – Rustem Sherdebayev.
“For me, this is a very large and valuable experience. The Olympiad consisted of two stages, each of which lasted for 5 hours. We performed various exercises, both theoretical and practical. I am proud that I managed to become one of the winners of this Olympiad and defend the honor of our country. I am very grateful to my teachers for their time and effort to help us to get knowledge in Chemistry”, says Rustem.
By the way, for a student this is not the first he takes part in a large-scale olympiad. So, last year the young chemist participated in the IV International Olympiad named after A. Bekturov and took the third place. Years earlier, Rustem also participated in the 9th International URFODU History Olympiad, where he was awarded a second degree diploma.
