NIS integrates Kazakhstan into the global educational space

Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools received a prestigious European certification, which confirmed the NIS world standards

At the headquarters of ACQUIN (Germany), Kulyash Shamshidinova was awarded a certificate of a new certification by the NIS Center for Pedagogical Excellence.

In Bayreuth, Germany, at the headquarters of ACQUIN, Kulyash Shamshidinova, Chairman of the Board of the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools AEO, was presented with a certificate of a new achievement of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence. This is an unconditional certification of the current teacher professional development program “School Team: Effective Management and Quality of Education”.

Denis Rogov, Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Munich, was the first to congratulate NIS on the new recognition.

The German Institute for Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance (ACQUIN) confirmed the high standards of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools and the professional achievements of the Center for Teaching Excellence.

Yasmine Rudolf, Head of Program and Institutional Accreditations at ACQUIN, emphasized that NIS is successfully integrating Kazakhstan into the global educational space. ACQUIN Accreditation Department Coordinator Yulia Balakshiy stated that ACQUIN experts from Switzerland and Germany who worked on certification are ready to implement successful solutions of the professional team of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools in their educational systems.

– The Center for Pedagogical Excellence was the first in the domestic system of additional professional education to present author’s programs for external examination. ACQUIN emphasized that all CPM programs were awarded unconditional certification from the first time, – said Zhanbota Kabdykarimova, director of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence.

The new recognition continues a large series of landmark accreditations that the CPM has been running for three years with a prestigious European agency.

The German Institute for Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance previously accredited ten programs developed by the Center for Teaching Excellence. All of them are dedicated to teacher leadership, effective learning and other current priorities in modern education. These are thematic programs for school top management, teachers of mathematics and psychologists, as well as for teachers of universities, colleges and preschool organizations, including the popular course “Research in the practice of a teacher.” All professional development programs for teachers are now successfully operating in the country.

– Mandatory standards for external assessment include compliance with the quality policy, transparent and standardized procedures in the development and approval of programs, a high level of teaching and assessment, absolute professionalism of the coaching staff, a stable resource base, system monitoring, – said Aisha Sadykova, project manager of the School Team.

The next stage in the successful development of the Center for Teaching Excellence is planned to undergo institutional accreditation.

The prestigious accreditation agency ACQUIN is a member of all relevant international associations and project initiatives dedicated to quality assurance in education, since 2009 it has been registered in the European Register of Quality Assurance in Higher Education.
