Young finalist athletes of NIS Semey

The team of girls of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey took 2nd place in the regional network futsal Spartakiad and are going to participate in the final games to be held in Nur-Sultan in the last days of May.

In order to effectively use the spring break of students and increase interest in sports among students of grades 7-8 of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, a network regional futsal spartakiad was held. On March 24-26, teams of boys and girls took part in competitions organized simultaneously in the cities of Kokshetau, Almaty, Aktobe, Taraz.

– We have been preparing for this Spartakiad since the beginning of the school year. First, intra-school competitions were held, distinguished boys and girls were selected, and an opportunity was given for their training. Friendly matches were held. Each team that took part in the Spartakiad turned out to be a worthy opponent. “I think we were able to show ourselves at a good level” says the teacher of physical education of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey, a coach Nurzhan Zhaksybayev.

Semey athletes got into the group of the zone “East”, where they competed with the teams of two intellectual schools in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Pavlodar, Taldykorgan and Almaty. Unfortunately, despite the fact that our boys could not win prizes, the girls reached the final, showing excellent results. One of the most distinguished players of the Spartakiad is a student of the 7th grade Raushan Ruslankyzy. Having become the “best striker”, Raushan will now train with her teammates and play in the upcoming final games.
