“Educational and career-oriented excursions”

During the autumn holidays, the students of grades 10 B and E visited the “MaDent” dentistry. The purpose of our visit was to get acquainted with dentist’s profession, which will undoubtedly help us in choosing a future profession. The people who played a key role in organizing our excursion were the parents of Madi, a 10B grade student. They work in dentistry that we visited: his father is a dentist, and his mother is an administrator of dentistry.
The employees of the dentistry warmly welcomed us as we had just crossed the threshold of the given enterprise. We went around all the rooms, from therapeutic to laboratory, and dentists told us about the features of their hard work. People in white coats are people dedicated to their profession. They are certified every 5 years. As Klara Asylbekovna, a dentist in the treatment room, said: “It is very interesting to learn something new. The medical profession is very responsible. Therefore, in order to keep up with time and find new ways of treating people, we constantly learn something “unknown” by us. ”
At this stage, we realized that “Lifelong learning” is not in vain a part of the values that teachers instill in us. Serik Bolatovich, a dentist in the surgical room, confirmed this, adding the words of the great Abai: “Yengbek etsen yerinbei, toyady karnyng tіlenbei”. S. Bolatovich has considerable experience in conducting surgical procedures. In order to share his experience and explain us, adolescents, that teeth should be protected from our youth, he told us various stories about patients who had put their health in the background. At one point, he pointed out that all the teeth that are set in case of tooth breakage are made by the dentists themselves. Madi’s father, Nariman Ruslanovich told us the details. He told us about the difficult task for the restless people – creating a “tooth” from scratch. While we were surprised with how this is done, he shared the following quote with us: “If you study, work and love your work, you will achieve everything”. This quote found lodgment in my mind. Nariman Ruslanovich – an example of a successful man who achieved everything thanks to his work and perseverance! The work should bring joy, and thanks to the honest work you can achieve great heights in the life! Reluctantly, we said goodbye to the friendly team of the dental clinic “Madent 32”. I think each of us got a lot from today’s excursion and we realized that each profession has its own advantages and disadvantages.
To sum up, I just want to say that the excursion helped me to understand in which direction and how I need to develop further in order to choose the right profession. The invaluable experience demonstrated by professionals in their field became for me a light in the dark curtain of obscurity.
On October 23, 2018, we, the students of the grade 10 “E”, visited Semey State Medical University. We got acquainted with the exhibits presented in the anatomical museum and the Museum of the world. Most of all we liked the educational and clinical
center. Biology has been one of my favorite subjects, but after today’s meeting, I became even more interested in medicine, especially in Anatomy. Thanks to this excursion, I was convinced that my future profession would certainly be related to medicine. I would like to thank teachers of the Medical University for welcoming us warmly and explaining everything so accurately, and express our deep gratitude to our school for giving the students the opportunity to attend various enterprises excursions. Of course, today’s day was unforgettable, and most importantly, productive. We have increased our knowledge in the subjects of Biology and Chemistry, and expanded our horizons. I hope that we will still have many opportunities to visit other institutions of our city.
In addition, the students who chose Physics had the opportunity to visit the factory «Semey Engineering». This is the only plant in Central Asia that is engaged in repairing armored vehicles; shooting is prohibited inside the plant. The plant impressed us greatly, as it was the first time we visited such places. First, we were acquainted with a brief safety technique at the enterprise. After that, each of us was given a hard hat; we were acquainted with the work of all the shops. The territory of the plant is huge; more than 100 people work in shifts at the plant.
The factory was very noisy; the shop was like a huge sports gym. We saw the equipment that tanks supply. Moreover, we got acquainted with cleaning devices, for cleaning rust they usually use special sand under great pressure. The work of engineers is of great importance. The students asked their questions about the qualities of a leader, wages, and employment during the working day. The management sends the best and most responsible workers of the plant for internship abroad. The engineers constantly exchange their experience with engineers from Belarus and Uzbekistan. The only customer of this technology is our state. Therefore, this plant has no competitors. We were pleased with the tour and we can say we decided on our choice of profession. We want to work so that our region, as well as our country, always flourishes. Therefore, our state provides great opportunities to open a lot of enterprises and factories for the production of cars, cell phones, computers, and home appliances. I would like to note the fact that all the work at the plant is mainly done manually (manual assembly). We express our deep gratitude to all the employees of the plant for spending time with us and conducting a detailed tour, as well as for inviting me to work in this plant in the future! We also thank the mother of Karimgozhinova Aiym for cooperation and organization of today’s unforgettable meeting!
