Askhat Zhumabekov has become the «Best teacher of 2018»

On the threshold of the Teacher’s Day professional holiday, the physics teacher of “Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey» Branch of “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” AEO Askhat Zhumabekov has become the winner of the republican contest for the title of the «Best Teacher of 2018» of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. To raise the prestige and status of the teacher in the society and implement the dissemination of the best pedagogical experience of the best teachers of the republic, since 2012 the “The best teacher” republican contest of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been held. For six years, 31420 teachers have taken part in the competition, among them 368 teachers of preschool and secondary, technical and professional education system gained a title of the “Best Teacher».This year as a result of the competition, 64 winners will be awarded with the ‘Best Teacher of the Year 2018’ award pin. It is planned to award the winners of the republican contest on October 2, 2018 in Astana with the participation of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan -Yerlan Sagadiyev.The winners of the competition passed a strict selection, where one of the criteria was the introduction of innovations in the educational environment, the professional competence of teachers, the personal contribution of teachers to the development of education in the region and republic, the effectiveness of pedagogical activity, evaluation of the teacher’s personality and professional excellence.This is not the first victory of our teacher. This year he won the republican contest ‘The Best Teacher of the Year 2018’ among 20 branches of ‘Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools’ and got an honorable first place. Askhat Zhumabekov began his pedagogical activity within the walls of our school and, being a graduate of the International Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan ‘Bolashak’, is actively engaged in research work and has been working in the school for 5 years. For example, together with Finnish and Russian colleagues, he published a collective monograph named “Approaches to inclusive education in Russia, Kazakhstan and Finland: essence, experience and prospects”. In addition, he conducts his own research within four branches of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools in the direction of STEM. Constantly being in constant search and improving his qualification, now Askhat Zhumabekov is the author of more than 40 published scientific works and articles, including journals with the ‘IOP Science’ impact factor. Having become the pride of the school staff, we believe that Askhat Zhumabekov in the future will also rejoice in his victories and success.
