Social project “Double Portion of Kindness’’

The social project “Double portion of kindness’’ was originally created by 8 participants of  “Shakarim” and “Tolagai” shanyraks. Within the framework of this project, the whole school(students, teachers and staff) collected waste papers to help and support the local animal shelter, “4 paws” or “4 lapi”.
In the scope of the GIN project two schools were involved: NIS Semey and our social partner, secondary school №3. Project participants kept in touch and shared their ideas of helping the shelter. A salient role in the dissemination of the idea of the project was played by campaign leaflets calling for the collection of waste papers for recycling throughout the school.  It is foremost to note that the fair was organized by social coordinators of Shanyrak, as a result of which additional funds were collected. Consequently all funds were spent on the purchase of feed and medicine for animals. This project helped all students of our school to get the idea that mutual aid and kindness are the main spiritual values of the modern world.
Summing up, the project played a significant role in the development of the idea of teamwork, as it gave impetus to solving social problems of animals all over the world. Firstly, collection of waste papers will effect on reduction of deforestation in the nearest future. Secondly, secondly, the provision of material assistance to the shelter will at least for a time increase the material well-being of non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
In the end, I would like to add that we achieved our goal. The reason is that we started the project from a simple assembly of waste papers in the school, and we finished it, we have done a successful and fruitful work, thereby achieving our goal. Within the framework of the project on April 6, representatives of shakirak “Shakarim” and “Tolagay”, Mr. Hrvoje, Seksenbaeva A.M, Orazbayeva A.K, went to the the animal shelter called “4 paws”. We used collected money to buy animal feed and needed medicine, also participants of shanyraks brought warming things for animals like towels and blankets. There is no needed equipment in this animak shelter. The road to this shelter has suffered after spring floods and it was tough to get to the destination. The “4 paws”, small country house consisting of two rooms became the house for 60 different dogs. In the first room, shelter workers cook food for cats and dogs in terrible conditions. In the second one, there are cells where cats and injured dogs or puppies spend the most of their time.  The only reason why this shelter still exists is that warm hearted volunteers work there and sponsor it by themselves. Animals live in very cramped conditions and they do not have enough place for simple existing. I think  all citizens of Semey have to be grateful for the job of these group of volunteers. Everyday they save poor slender animals from death, violence, suffering from humans and give them all what they are able to give: love, time and warmth. After visiting them we were consumed by the desire to adopt all animals. The problem of homeless beings has affected all parts of the world.
We want to give special thank to one parent, Kazhibaieva Saule Askarbekovna who is individual entrepreneur. She sent experts and helped pack and hand over a huge amount of waste papers for recycling.
We all, we hope for further cooperation, as well as with adherence we will take in our ranks all not people who are interested in social work. There are still a lot of planned projects ahead.
