The connection between Semey and Mumbai has been strengthened

On the eve of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey hosted a joint demonstrative lesson with the International Baccalaureate School (JBCN International School, Borivali) in Mumbai (India). This allowed both sides to get acquainted with the history, culture, life and development of two countries.

– The idea of holding a joint demonstrative lesson of AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” was enthusiastically received by the English Department of the school. Our colleague Nazym Maksutovna negotiated with the Indian school and developed a lesson plan. Our school was represented by 12th grade students who told the history of our country and the history of modern Kazakhstan: about the Semipalatinsk test site, the international program “Bolashak”, Intellectual Schools. They told interesting facts about the national instrument – dombra. At the end of the event as a gift the musical composition was performed, – said English teacher Assel Duisenbayeva.

In the second half of the lesson, the turn was given to Indian colleagues, who shared information about the history of their country, the achievement of independence, education in the past and present. In general, the partnership with the Indian school was established in 2017. Students from both sides were pleased with the educational event and expressed confidence that the line of good initiatives will continue.
