On September 1, a traditional line was held dedicated to the first bell for students of grades 7-8 of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in the city of Semey. The rest of the classes watched the event online. The event dedicated to the Day of Knowledge was held within the framework of the 30th anniversary of Independence, the 180th anniversary of the people’s teacher Y. Altynsarin, the 175th anniversary of the poet Zhambyl Zhabayev and the 150th anniversary of the famous wrestler Khadzhimukan Munaitpasov.
– In accordance with the sanitary requirements for the epidemiological situation in the country, it was decided to make a call separately for grades 7 and 8. Even the parents were unable to attend the event. However, we broadcast it live so that parents and high school students could also see and rejoice. 120 new students were admitted to our school as a result of a competitive selection. I want to congratulate the guys on the Day of Knowledge, – said the school director Bagdan Kairzhanov.
Altair Kusmanov is one of those who were lucky enough to study at an intellectual school. He scored the highest scores in peer competition. Altair wants to devote his future to the development of our country and is very glad that he became a student of the Nazarbayev Intellectual School.
– Intellectual school for me is the strongest educational institution in the country with qualified teachers. In this environment, I want to hone my knowledge and conquer the heights. I have a lot to learn from the teachers. I want to contribute to the development of Kazakhstan in the future, – said Altair Kusmanov.
During the event, students met new foreign teachers and learned about our school’s online projects. One of them – “100 books”, in the framework of which the students were presented with books, and 7th grade students put on the ties of our school that day.
The solemn event ended with an exhibition of photographs of young photographers who had been trained at the Photocamp courses, as well as objects of applied art by the pupils of the Master studio. During the curatorial hour, students were introduced to information on various interesting topics. At the end of the last academic year, 16 of our graduates became students of foreign countries, 32 – students of Nazarbayev University, the rest entered the leading universities of the country.
