Holiday Amal “Korisu kuni”

The winter chills ended, mother earth softened and allowed the first messengers of spring, the snowdrops, to show the world their white heads. Together with these spring changes, the holiday “Korisu kuni” comes to the steppe, which means “to say hello, to bow”. Since ancient times, on this day, the Kazakh people performed a ritual that has a deep meaning in its basis. Early in the morning to greet the elders of the clan, family and friends, to wish them health was considered not just a sign of attention, but a manifestation of respect.

After a long and difficult winter, to see each other and rejoice in spring together, to ask forgiveness for what was said or done once, to wish health and well-being to each other – isn’t this the basis of strong relationships, strong family and family ties?

On this bright and symbolic day, students and parents congratulated the staff of our school on the beginning of the renewal and spring. In honor of this day, a student of the 8th grade Dariga Seytkan congratulated her grandmother and neighbors on this holiday, and a student of the 9th grade, Alikhan Muratkazy, made his grandfather and grandmother happy with his visit and received their blessing. Wonderful videos dedicated to the day of “Korisu kuni” have received recognition from the audience.
