In the Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in the city of Semey, a meeting was held within the framework of the “Smart Thursday” project with a biotechnologist-breeder, candidate of biological sciences, doctor of philosophy Zhanat Baigazinov. The guys sent their questions in advance. The most interesting of them were asked to the guest. Zhanat Abylkhanovich told about his youth, about what prompted him to do science.
– I, like all my friends, went to an ordinary high school, to be honest, I was not an excellent student. After leaving school, I had a choice to continue to play sports and become an athlete, or apply for a grant. I had no desire to engage in science, but gradually I myself did not notice how I began to participate in international conferences and engage in research. Now, I do not regret a bit about my choice, in my opinion, whatever you do, the main thing is to love your job with all your heart. Only then will you achieve success on this path, the guest shared.
Zhanat Baigazinov today actively participates in the social life of the city, holds contests for young people, arranges trainings, teaches young people from different regions in leadership and business management. He also said that he loves to participate in TEDx conferences and give lectures, speak at international venues. Possesses management skills, organizes and conducts city, republican events.
– From an early age, each person possesses certain skills, but we ourselves waste them because of our laziness. Therefore, it is very important to work tirelessly and always have a specific goal in front of you. At the end of school, each of you will have a choice, and you will also encounter various kinds of difficulties, the main thing is to always look for the positive, trust people and never give up in front of life’s difficulties. One of the main qualities of a good manager is love for people and care for your team. You should very carefully select your surroundings and friends, I am very proud of my friends, they always motivate and inspire me, do not allow me to plunge into the comfort zone, – added Zhanat Baigazinov.
At the end of the meeting, the guest called on young people to engage in science and, thereby, to contribute to the sphere of science and education of their country.
