At “Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey”, in addition to quality education, special attention is paid to the educational work. The concept of educational work is provided for different age groups of students and is aimed at the development of students. For example, the project “The World of Professions” is especially important for 9th-grade students who should choose a core subject for the next academic year. Recently, a meeting called “My Story” was held with parents who work in various fields.
“We strive not only to help students to learn about the profession of their parents, but also to strengthen the bond between children and parents. We also teach our students the right choice of profession and how to appreciate the work of each person. Together with my colleague, Aizhan Sarkytbayevna, we plan to regularly conduct such events, ” explained the educational organizer-curator of the school, Gulmira Orunkhanova.
The first meeting was held in the library of our school, where experts working in the field of public service, journalism, education, and law were invited to the meeting. They talked about the features of their profession. In addition, they shared their childhood dreams, early career prospects, as well as the problems and challenges of their business. For example, Arman Tleubekov, the head of the Audit Office of the East Kazakhstan State Revenues’ Department, emphasized that the choice of a profession is an important moment in a person’s life and that it is preferable for everyone to act according to his will.
The meeting was so interesting that the students asked questions and for a long time talked to the guests.
