Goodbye, my school -my home!

On May 25, at “Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey” rang a last bell in honor of which a solemn event was held under the name of “Goodbye, my school – my home!”. The event was attended by the school staff, parents, students, a member of the Board of Trustees, the pride of the Kazakh people, the medalist of the Order of Honor, the winner of such tournaments as “Kazakhstan Barysy”, “Eurasia Barysy”, “Alem Barysy”, the famous baluan Aibek Nugymarov, and a Candidate of Historical Sciences, a young scientist – Arafat Mamyrbekov.
This year, the school has 109 graduates. 10 of them are candidates for “Altyn Belgi” and 9 are candidates for “Certificate with Honors”.
“This is the result of many years of work by our teachers. Our main goal is to be able to find a way to the heart of each student and direct him to the right direction. And we, in turn, expect our graduates tomeet our expectations and achieve high peaks. We are also proud that 15 of our graduates received an invitation from the most prestigious universities of the USA, Spain, Australia, Poland and Hong Kong. Another group of our graduates received an invitation from the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, the International University of Business and the Nazarbayev University. Such proposals are still being received”, said the school’s director, Bagdan Kaiyrzhanov.
A special feature of the solemn ceremony dedicated to the last bell of this year, which was held in the framework of the “Year of Youth”, is an orchestra of dombyra players, consisting of 7th grade students. About 100 students, who have managed to learn how to play the dombyra over the year, performed Abai’s kyui “Tor Zhorga”.
“We have witnessed the effectiveness of the “100 kyui” project, which was launched in all educational institutions of the AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools”. Within the framework of this project, the students were able to master not only the ancient, but alsothe kyui of folk composers. There is a definite reason for perfoming a great Abai’s kyui “Tor Zhorga”. By performing this kyui, we wanted to draw attention to the priorities mentioned in the article of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Yelbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev entitled “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe”, said school artistic director Ruslan Kasenov.
During the event, the students with honors were awarded the certificates of merit. The graduates expressed their sincere wishes by performing songs and reading poems.
“This is one of the special days for our family. We still can not believe that our firstborn is already finishing school. Yesterday, our baby was running and playing, and today she is already mature. I wish my daughter good luck. And before the teachers and school staff, I bow my head. Their work is immeasurable. I wish the school a lot of talented students”, said the parent Yerzhan Zhakyp.
One of the graduates of the school is Aydin Yerezhepbayev. A young graduate who actively participated in public school life cannot believe that the time has come to leave a golden nest: “I am happy. I am happy that I studied in an educational center where the qualified teachers, well-read and talented children gathered. I wish my friends a happy journey, I hope that we will meet the expectations of the teachers. I would like to encourage everyone to be honored citizens of our country. Unfortunately, we will not be able to return to school, to our teachers. Nevertheless, we will always remember and miss our school ”, said the young graduate.
The last bell ceremony continued with a forum for parents. The purpose of the forum is to draw up a school’s work plan for the upcoming school year in agreement with parents. The school director Bagdan Kaiyrzhanov, speaking to his parents, told about the values. The proposals and wishes of parents, which were presented at the last year’s forum, were also taken into account. They were included in the school’s work plan. At the end of the forum, the parents who took an active part in the school life received the letters of gratitude on behalf of the school administration.
