“Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Semey” handed the girl, who has lost both parents, the keys of a new apartment

May of this year was special for the resident of Ayaguz – Yerkezhan Yersinkyzy, the girl was handed the keys of a new apartment. The school staff of the “Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey” presented housing to a girl whose fate was not easy since her childhood.
On the basis of a social agreement on mutual cooperation with the Department of Education of the East Kazakhstan region on social support and foster care for orphans and children left without parental care, the school employees have been transferring money to the Yerkezhan’s housing savings fund since 2013. There came a day the girl who had been under the patronage of our school was waiting for a long time. The school managed to buy her an apartment immediately after she turned 18 using the funds raised in her fund.
“In the Kazakh language there is such a word of edification:” Do not build seven churches, but feed seven orphans”. We, together with the whole team, cannot be indifferent to the upset events that take place in society. As educators of the future generation, we are concerned about the future of Yerkezhan – the future of our youth. We were glad to assist in the fulfillment of our girl’s dream. We gave Yerkezhan the opportunity to choose an apartment by herself. Our staff only helped to arrange the relevant documents. We want this house to bring prosperity and peace to her”, said Bagdan Kaiyrzhanov, director of the “Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey”.
Yerkezhan chose a one-room apartment on the first floor. The apartment is very bright with all installed communication networks, heating and light. Most importantly, the apartment is located in a convenient residential area.
Yerkezhan Yersynova: – For me it is great happiness to have your own housing. Still I hardly believe in what is happening now. At first, when they called me and said that they wanted to buy me an apartment, I decided that this was a joke. It turned out that dreams come true! I was convinced that in life there are charitable and caring people. I am very grateful to the whole team for this wonderful gift.
A 19-year-old girl lost her father when she was a baby, and at the age of 12 she lost her mother. For the past five years, she has been living in the home of her second cousin – Rollan Suykbayev. Currently, a 3rd year student Yerkezhan studies at the “Polytechnic College of Ayaguz” in the specialty “Programming”. “I plan to continue my studies at the university. Next year I will go to the city”, said Yerkezhan. The school staff gifted the student a microwave as the first furniture.
