A healthy nation is the wealth of the state. One of the tasks of our President Nursultan Nazarbayev is to lead a healthy lifestyle. The methodological department of Physical education and Aesthetics of “Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Physics and Mathematics in Semey” also contributes to the development of mass sports in our country. Physical education teachers, who regularly organize various intraschool competitions, traditionally hold a two-day biathlon for students and school staff.
Firstly, 9-11 grade students were divided into teams made of a boy and a girl for each team. Each participant needed to ski about 1 km. In the second round, a participant was required to shoot with an air rifle on a target from the distance of 10 meters. The main purpose of the contest based on the Swedish method, is to attract the students to winter sports, and to identify students with abilities for sports. During a high-level competition, 11 “D” grade students took the first place – Ilya Kamertsel and Dariya Uisengali, the second place was taken by 10 “B” students – Madi Zheldibayev and Aruzhan Alkenova, the 3rd place – Bekzhan Myrzagaliyev and Nurai Kavkayeva.
On the second day of the contest, the teachers and school staff tried their hand at it. Even a special team from the military unit No. 44793 was invited.
– Not so much time has passed since our military unit began to work closely with you. However, as by the decision of the “Eastern Regional Military Administration” and the “City Department of Defense” your school was assigned to us, we are responsible for monitoring and supporting military-patriotic education at your school. By participating in today’s competition as a part of this decision, I believe that being an example for the younger generation is not only our military, but also our civic duty of seniority,” – said Zhenisbek Karimov, officer of military unit No. 44793.
Among teachers, staff members and guests, the most skilled and fast biathletes were the military unit staff – Zhenisbek Karimov and Gaukhar Zhenisbekova. The second place was taken by teachers Kuanysh Mukhammadiyev and Irina Baimuratova, the third place was won by Dauren Kosherbayev and Zhanar Tukenova. The winners of two contest were awarded special cups and letters of gratitude.
