Communication Games «Submit a single word»

Linguatown is a place for pupils, who wants to study English and needs environment to develop their skills. We have many meetings, but today’s one was special. On Friday we met with guys and were really happy to see them. The idea this time was learning new words by playing games with others and having fun, because learning something new should be interesting, isn’t it? The first game called “Ears, shoulders, elbows” we all played together. The task of this game was to prepare for the next games, as well as learn how to show parts of the body without confusing. After this little warm-up, we divided into 3 groups and played by stations. At the first station, they learned to respond quickly and learned many new and interesting facts about their friends. The leader said “change places those who …. (says some hobby or thing)” and when the participants change their place, the leader tried to sit in the p= ace of one of them. This game is not only exciting and funny, but also useful for learning and memorizing new words. At the second station, the guys learned to talk about themselves and their interests. Someone started talking about himself, and the second one also spoke about this and added something of his own. Due to this game, they were able to replenish their vocabulary with new words that can be useful in everyday life. At the last station, the students learned how to correctly ask questions about any profession and person. On the player’s back, we attached the name of the celebrity. And they tried to guess the name of that popular person by asking questions The most important game of this evening was the game “Tell me in one word”. In this game, they tried to convey the emotion that was written on a piece of paper. Later, they were able to understand how important the intonation in our speech. This day has benefited not only students, but also volunteers who helped them. By creating the entire lesson plan, we learned to be responsible. Through this lesson, learned how is hard to be a teacher. In addition, they developed their leadership skills. In the process of the lesson, there was such a friendly and pleasant atmosphere. I would like to thank all those people who made this evening memorable and fun. I hope that with each of our meetings our friendship and unity of our small country will be strengthened. After all, creating a comfortable environment for everyone is a pledge of fruitful studies.
