The “Successful Step” opens the way for new teachers

 

Qualitative education of a child depends on a qualified teacher. That’s why the demand for school teachers is now high. The teachers of the Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, who have become a part of the national education sector, are especially responsible for this. Taking this into account, the Nazarbayev Intellectual school of Physics and Mathematics in Semipalatinsk hosted a competition called “Successful Step” among newcomers who did not have the experience of working in the Intellectual Schools at the beginning of the academic year. The goal is not only to increase the level of professionalism of new teachers, but also to educate and evaluate students in accordance with the requirements of the NIS-Program. A total of 6 teachers who teach different subjects in the criticisms that are not restricted to their specifications and work experience. It was a very interesting and overwhelming competition to write essays about the students, to teach open lessons, to share oratorical art on a free theme in the form of TEDx. In the first assignment, more than 800 words were allowed to show not only one student but also one essay. The open lesson was given 40 minutes, while in the final assignment, the participant had an opportunity to express his thoughts on the difficulties of teaching from the topical issues of today’s education to colleagues gathered in the assembly hall for 10 minutes. It is worth noting that the contest was not held in one day. Candidates have the time to prepare for the next stage.
A special commission was set up to determine the winners of the competition, which included school administrators, methodical associations leaders, school teachers with a pedagogical skill level “teacher-expert”. Members of the commission were approved by the order of the school principal.
Following the results of several months, the first place was awarded to chemistry teacher Meruert Kudabekova. He scored 14, 48 points in the overall performance of the team and advanced to the lead. The second place was taken by curator Albina Mussabekova with 9.47 points. The third prize went to mathematics teacher Balzhan Smailova, who scored 9.37 points.
The school principal Bagdan Kaiyrzhanov congratulated the winners and presented the diplomas.
