On March 15, 2019, in accordance with the pilot schools’ work plan, an on-site workshop was organized by a creative group at municipal state institution-complex “Abay School-Kindergarten” in Kokpekty district, village “Ulgili malshy”. The creative group, which composed of a manager – methodologist of the Center of pedagogical excellence – Usenova D.E., a teacher-psychologist of NIS – Zholamanova A.S., an English teacher – Asylbekova B.M. and a teacher-organizer-curator Biakhmetova M.K., held a workshop and trainings.
As part of the planned activities for teachers, a training on “The students’ success in primary school through the development of metacognitive skills” and a training workshop on the “Reading literacy as the basis of the learning process” were held. All schoolteachers, who took part in this event, received answers to their current questions. 7-8 grade students took part in the training on theme: “Emotional intelligence is the basis of effective communications”.
While providing a post-course support, the methodologist-manager observed 3-4th grade teachers’ classes. By analyzing the lesson, the teachers came to understand that when planning a lesson it is important to determine the main directions, the compliance of which will help to develop the lesson stages effectively in accordance with the learning objectives.
The manager-methodologist of the CPM held a training-workshop on the “Homework is the way to organize the independent activity of primary school students”. During the workshop, the teachers were able to determine the principles, scope and time for doing homework; they got acquainted with the various work forms when checking a homework, and determined the main meaning of the tasks with different levels. The workshop participants came to understand the importance of the homework for learning a material, and that the proper use of different types of homework will lead to students’ independent work.
