The American University in Washington offers a scholarship for the undergraduate student of The AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship. The ideal candidate should have outstanding academic achievements, leadership potential and influence at the global level. The scholarship was established so that upon returning home the student could change the local society for the better.
Requirements for a candidate:
- a foreign student (without citizenship / residence permit in the US) who has overcome many difficulties due to the socioeconomic situation in own country
- from 3.8 GPA in high school
- experience in leadership, volunteering, social useful work
- language acquisition (95+ TOEFL iBT, 7.0+ IELTS, 600+ paper-based TOEFL)
- graduation from school not earlier than 2017 and not later than June 2019
- students who have already entered universities cannot claim a scholarship
Application:
- completed online forms
- confirmation from the bank about the amount on the account (not less than 4000 $, which are not included in the scholarship – medical insurance, textbooks, airline tickets)
- Test results for TOEFL and IELTS
- Former recipients of FLEX and YES fellowships must provide a letter from the host organization to the United States
